Kindel, Clark and Faremo named BCPL Women’s Three Stars for June
The trio helped cap another memorable BCPL season with standout performances in the final month
The 2026 British Columbia Premier League women’s season concluded earlier this month, with Vancouver Rise FC Academy lifting the league trophy after an outstanding campaign.
The final weeks of the season featured no shortage of memorable individual performances as clubs battled through the last matches of the year. June’s Three Stars recognize three players who helped shape the conclusion of another exciting BCPL season.
From a championship-clinching brace to commanding midfield displays, Lacey Kindel, Alyssa Clark and Sofia Faremo each delivered standout performances worthy of recognition in June.
Lacey Kindel – Vancouver Rise FC Academy
Lacey Kindel delivered when the stakes were highest.
The 16-year-old Canadian U-17 international scored both goals as Vancouver Rise FC Academy defeated TSS Rovers FC 2-0 to clinch the 2026 BCPL Women’s championship with one match to spare. Kindel opened the scoring just two minutes into the match before adding another late in the second half to secure the title.
Already earning opportunities with Vancouver Rise FC’s first team, Kindel continued to show why she is regarded as one of Canada’s brightest young talents. Her championship-winning performance capped a season in which she earned Team of the Week honours four times while helping Rise finish first with a 13-1-0 record, seven points clear of second place.
As Rise celebrated the league title, Kindel once again proved herself to be a player for the biggest moments.
Alyssa Clark – Langley United
Alyssa Clark continued to be a key contributor for Langley United throughout the final month of the season.
The 21-year-old midfielder finished the campaign with six goals in 12 appearances while playing more than 1,000 minutes. Her consistent performances helped Langley secure a third-place finish in the standings and remain among the league’s strongest sides.
Clark was named to the BCPL Team of the Week four times during the season, highlighting the level she maintained throughout the campaign. Her influence in midfield continued through June as Langley closed out another successful year.
Sofia Faremo – TSS Rovers FC
Sofia Faremo remained one of TSS Rovers FC’s most dependable performers as the season drew to a close.
The 22-year-old midfielder appeared in 13 matches, scoring three goals while surpassing 1,000 minutes played. Her consistency throughout the campaign earned her four Team of the Week selections, reflecting the important role she played in TSS’s midfield.
Faremo helped guide the Rovers to a fourth-place finish while once again demonstrating the quality and composure that made her one of the club’s most reliable players.
From championship celebrations to strong finishes across the table, June provided a fitting conclusion to another exciting BCPL season. Kindel, Clark and Faremo each played an important role for their clubs, earning recognition as the BCPL Women’s Three Stars for the final month of the 2026 campaign.
