Vancouver Rise FC Academy are the 2026 BCPL Women’s champions.

Rise clinched the league title on Thursday night with a 2-0 victory over TSS Rovers FC at Swangard Stadium, securing the championship with one regular season match remaining.

Sixteen-year-old Lacey Kindel starred on the biggest stage, scoring both goals in a championship-clinching performance. The Canadian U-17 international opened the scoring just two minutes into the match before doubling Rise’s advantage in the 85th minute to seal the result.

Already earning opportunities with Vancouver Rise FC’s first team, Kindel once again showcased why she is regarded as one of Canada’s brightest young talents. She played nearly the full 90 minutes before making way late in the match to a well-earned ovation.

Thursday’s victory capped a remarkable campaign for Rise Academy, who emerged from another tightly contested title race with Altitude FC Women to finish atop the BCPL standings. After narrowly missing out on the championship last season, Rise returned in 2026 determined to go one step further, producing consistent performances throughout the campaign to secure the title with a match to spare.

Rise combined one of the league’s most dangerous attacks with one of its strongest defensive records, establishing itself as the team to beat while continuing to showcase some of British Columbia’s top young talent. The championship also marks the club’s first since the BCPL rebrand, adding another chapter to an already successful program.
