Setting the Pace: April’s BCPL Women’s Three Stars

Field, Kramer and Rafou each helped fuel strong starts for their clubs during the opening month of the 2026 BCPL women’s season

Goals, composure and emerging young talent were all on display throughout the first month of BCPL women’s action in 2026.

Across the province, clubs quickly began establishing identities through unbeaten starts, tightly contested matches and standout individual performances. Whether through experience in front of goal, leadership in midfield or continued growth within academy environments, these three players made significant impacts for their clubs throughout April.

Charity Field – Unity FC

Charity Field wasted little time finding her form in front of goal to begin the 2026 campaign.

The 25-year-old forward scored three goals during the opening month of the BCPL season, already matching her total from all of last year, as Unity FC opened the campaign with four wins from their first five matches and finished April tied for first place in the BCPL women’s standings with 12 points.

A graduate of Trinity Western University, Field brought both experience and attacking composure into Unity’s front line throughout April, helping the club establish itself near the top of the standings early in the season. Her ability to capitalize on key opportunities played an important role in Unity FC’s strong start.

Sophia Kramer – TSS Rovers

Kramer continued to provide a steadying presence in midfield for TSS Rovers throughout April.

The 24-year-old has spent multiple seasons competing in the BCPL and once again showcased the experience and consistency that have become key parts of her game. Through six matches this season, Kramer helped guide TSS Rovers to three wins while contributing on both sides of the ball through her composure in possession and ability to help control the tempo of matches. As the season begins to take shape, her leadership and reliability continue to make her an important piece within the squad.

Analisia Rafou – Vancouver Rise FC Academy

At just 17 years old, Rafou continued taking important steps forward within the Vancouver Rise FC Academy development pathway during an impressive start to the season for the club.

Already gaining experience in an international competition environment after appearing in Concacaf action with the Rise Academy side last year, Rafou entered the 2026 BCPL season as one of several promising young players rising through the academy system. Throughout April, she helped Vancouver Rise FC Academy open the year with four wins from four matches, as the club finished the month tied for first place in points in the BCPL women’s standings. Her performances throughout the opening weeks reflected both confidence and maturity while continuing to grow within a high-level environment.

Early-season performances can often help define the identity and momentum of a club, and that was certainly the case throughout April in the BCPL women’s division. Through goals, composure and impactful performances in key moments, Field, Kramer and Rafou each played an important role in helping their teams establish strong foundations to begin the 2026 season.
